Myriam Cloutier, Director of Heritage Programs at Mount Royal Cemetery in Montreal, will discuss the history and
evolution of Mount Royal Cemetery (including Hawthorn-Dale and Belvedere Cemeteries) and stories of interesting
burials and monuments. She will demonstrate how best to use the on-line genealogy search function and how to
search for a monument if able to visit the cemetery in person. Myriam will also talk about the Friends of the Mount
Royal Cemetery’s role in promoting and preserving Mount Royal Cemetery’s history through monument restoration,
walking tours, and numerous publications.
